Control Valve

22 ISO standard for industrial valves

1. ISO 5208:1993

Industrial valves; pressure testing of valves. Tests to confirm the pressure-containing capacity of the industrial valve shell under pressure and to check the tightness of the valve seat and the closing mechanism.

2. ISO 5209:1977

General purpose industrial valves; Marking. Specifies compulsory and optional markings of general-purpose valves and specifies how the markings are to be applied, i.e. on the body, on a flange or on an identifier.

3. ISO 5210:1991

Industrial valves; multi-turn valve actuator attachments. Specifies the size of the flange, the size of the driving element, and the reference values for torque and flange thrust.

4. ISO 5211:2017

Industrial valves – Part-turn actuator attachment. The document establish certain basic requirements for the attachment of actuators, in order to define the attachment with actuator.

5. ISO 5752:1982

Metal valves for use in flanged pipe systems; Face-to-face and center-to-face dimensions.

6. ISO 683-15: 1992

Heat-treatable steels, alloy steels and free-cutting steels; part 15: valve steels for internal combustion engines.

7. ISO 4126-1:2004

Safety devices for protection against excessive pressure – Part 1: Safety valves

8. ISO 4401:1994

Hydraulic fluid power – Four-port directional control valves – Mounting surfaces.

9. ISO 4411:1986

Hydraulic fluid power; Valves; Determination of pressure differential/flow characteristics.

10. ISO 5599-1:2001

Pneumatic fluid power – Five-port directional control valves – Part 1: Mounting interface surfaces without electrical connector

11. ISO 5599-2:2001

Pneumatic fluid power – Five-port directional control valves – Part 2: optional electrical connector mounting interfaces

12. ISO 5599-3:1990

Pneumatic fluid power; five-port directional control valves; part 3: code system for communication of valve functions

13. ISO 5781:2016

Hydraulic fluid power – Pressure-reducing valves, sequence valves, unloading valves, throttle valves and check valves – Mounting surfaces.

In order to guarantee interchangeability, it indicates the sizes and other surface information on which hydraulic pressure-reducing valves, sequence valves, unloading valves, throttle valves and control valves are installed.

14. ISO 6263:2013

Hydraulic fluid power – Compensated flow-control valves – Mounting surfaces.

Specifies the sizes and other surface information on which, to guarantee interchangeability, hydraulically compensated flow-control valves are installed.

15. ISO 6264:1998

Hydraulic fluid power – Pressure-relief valves – Mounting surfaces

16. ISO 6403:1988

Specifies test valve techniques that are used in a circuit to determine their stable and dynamic output. Requirements are indicated for test facilities and processes, measurements and results presentation.

17. ISO 7121:1986

Flanged steel ball valves. Specifies rated pressure requirements from ISO PN10 to ISO PN100 and rated sizes

18. ISO 10418:2019

Petroleum and natural gas industries – Offshore production installations – Basic surface process safety systems. This document provides objectives, functional requirements and recommendations for methods for analyzing and designing surface process safety systems for offshore installations used to recover hydrocarbon resources

19. ISO 10423:2009

Petroleum and natural gas industries – Drilling and production equipment – Wellhead and christmas tree equipment,

Specifications and recommends for performance, dimensional and functional interchangeability, design, materials, testing, inspection, welding, marking, handling, storage, shipping, purchase, repair and remanufacture of petroleum and natural gas wellhead and Christmas tree equipment

20. ISO 10497:2010

Testing of valves – Fire type-testing requirements. ISO 10497:2010 sets out fire type testing criteria and a fire type test method to confirm a valve’s pressure-containing capacity during and after the fire test.

21. ISO 4437-4:2015

Polyethylene (PE) valves for gas distribution systems. ISO 4437-4:2015 sets out the features of polyethylene (PE) valves for gaseous fuel piping systems. It also indicates the test parameters referred to in this portion of ISO 4437 for the test techniques.

22. ISO 10631:2013

ISO 10631:2013 specifies design specifications, materials (e.g. steel, cast iron, ductile iron, copper alloy), pressure / temperature ratings and butterfly valve tests with metallic bodies for general use flanged or butt welding piping devices.
